Andy Roberts

Andy Roberts is a freelance journalist and writer and lives in Northampton, England with Alison and three boys, Zach, Jake and Harry. Aged 46, he is a press officer for Northamptonshire Police and for 16 years was a reporter and sub-editor on the Northampton Chronicle & Echo evening newspaper while contributing to a number of national newspapers. He is a long-standing fan of the Eurovision Song Contest and has been fortunate to attend 12 contests since 1995 in a working capacity. Apart from Eurovision, his other interests include most sports - in particular football, cricket and Formula 1 motor racing - meteorology, politics and current affairs and music. Flying The Flag is his second book, following on the success of Thanks For The Wembleys which charted the fortunes of his beloved Cobblers, also known as Northampton Town FC.
